Ukrainian Entrepreneurship Programme

If you are a Ukrainian citizen, resident in the UK and pursue a small or medium-sized business, our programme offers an opportunity to scale up and boost your entrepreneurship skills!

Many people applied to the programme, so registration is not available anymore. 
  • Do I need to pay to participate?
    No, the programme is for free.
  • How can I benefit from the programme?
    The people organising the programme have been involved in more than 50 comparable programmes, and participants, on average, increase their sales. Of course, no guarantee will happen. We can guarantee that if you participate and take the programme seriously, you will be better equipped for your business's challenges. In addition, you will join a community of people facing similar challenges.
  • Where are the training and mentoring sessions happening?
    The place is to be confirmed, but it will be in facilities from the University. The one-on-one mentoring sessions will be in a place where you will agree with your mentor. You can decide to have some online meetings, but make sure to have at least the first one in person.
  • What is the programme about?
    The programme combines group training sessions with individual mentorship. In the group training sessions, participants will learn key business management tools related with strategy, costs, marketing and planning. In the individual mentoring sessions, you will meet one-on-one with someone who will help you make better decisions for your business.
  • Who organises this?
    This is organised by graduate students from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. We are more than 20 volunteer in the Programme's team, and we are eager to help you with your business. Although all people involved are related to the University, beware that this is not an official University of Oxford activity.
  • When are we having training sessions?
    Dates are going to be confirmed soon. But expect to begin on the last week of April, and to have one class every two weeks.
  • How much time do I need to commit?
    4 group training sessions of 3 hours each. 4 one-to-one mentoring session of about 1,5 hours each. In total, 18 hours across 3 months.
  • Who can participate?
    You need to fulfil three requirements. Ukrainian national. Own a business. It must not be someone else's business. The person participating must be the owner and be able to make business decisions. The business is active (meaning, it sales). It doesn’t matter if sales are low or formal/informal. Willing to actively participate
  • How is this programme funded?
    Most of the funding comes from a crowdfunding campaign. Costs are low as all people involved in this programme are volunteers.
